At Australian Academy of Commerce we understand that cultural and social activities are a vital part of the learning process, so we have decided to integrate them into our education curriculum.
Education Field Trips allow students to apply the theory learnt in the classroom on every-day life scenarios. They are organized in advance, taking into consideration students’ budget. One Thursday a month students have the opportunity to explore iconic areas such as Sydney Aquarium, Bondi Beach, the Sydney Opera House, Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and many more world-class attractions with their classmates and teachers.
Theme Months turn every month into a new excuse to learn about an interesting subject. The theme for June 2015 is Greece and students are invited to attend short lectures about Greek culture and mythology, as well as workshops relative to their art.
BBQ cannot be disregarded as it is considered the epicentre of Australian social life. For this reason, AAC regularly organizes BBQ and Food Festivals so that students can dive into the Australian gastronomical customs while sharing traditional dishes from their own countries. In so doing students get to practice their English under the supervision of their teachers while learning from other cultural customs in a fun and friendly environment.
