Successful applicants
who meet all entry requirements will receive an unconditional
Letter of Offer
Read your Letter of Offer and sign the Written Agreement 
agreeing to the terms and confitions of your enrolment.
On receipt of your signed Written Agreement, AAC will issue an invoice for payment of your deposit.
International applicants will be issued an electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCOE) so you can apply for your student visa. 
All new students will be invited to attend a compulsory Orientation Session 1 week prior to their course commencement.

  • Students must be 18 years of age or more when commencing a VET program at AAC.
  • All ELICOS students will be required to complete an English Placement Test and Oral Interview 1 week before their course commences.

COURSE FEES

AAC provides a transparent and structured fee schedule for all courses, ensuring students understand their financial commitments. Our fees cover tuition, materials, and administrative costs, with flexible payment options available.

ELICOS students must pay an upfront fee of $1,300 AUD, which includes $1,100 AUD for approximately 5 weeks of tuition and a $200 AUD application fee. The remaining tuition fees are divided into two installments to be paid during the course of study. 

​

For VET students a payment of $1,400 AUD is required on enrolment, inclusive of a $200 AUD application fee, with an additional $300 AUD payable during the 7th week of the first intake.

For students enrolled in a combined ELICOS and VET program, the upfront payment is based on the ELICOS course fees.

AAC reserves the right to review and adjust tuition and non-tuition fees as required. Any fee increases will only apply to future enrolments and cannot be imposed on current students unless explicitly stated and agreed upon in their original Written Agreement. Students who have prepaid tuition fees for their courses are protected under the Tuition Protection Service (TPS). Fee increases will be communicated clearly to prospective students before they accept an offer or enrol.

BECOME AN AGENT WITH AAC

Agents interested in representing AAC must submit an Agent Application Form, available here. The application process involves:

✔ Providing business registration details and references

✔ Demonstrating knowledge of the Australian education system and visa requirements

✔ Complying with the ESOS Act and National Code 2018

✔ Undergoing AAC’s agent induction and training program

 

Approved agents enter into an Agent Agreement outlining their responsibilities, compliance requirements, and commission structure.

  • What happens if I fail a subject?
    If you do not achieve competency in a unit, you may be eligible for reassessment or required to re-enrol in the unit. Academic support is available to help students improve their performance.
  • Are the courses accredited?
    Yes, all Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses offered by the Australian Academy of Commerce (AAC) are nationally accredited and aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). AAC is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90982), ensuring that all qualifications meet the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). For international students, AAC is also a CRICOS-registered provider (CRICOS Code: 02599C). This means that AAC’s English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) programs meet the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and meet the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) quality standards. NEAS accreditation ensures that AAC’s English language programs maintain high teaching standards, strong student support services, and quality learning outcomes for international students.
  • When can I enrol into a program?
    Our VET courses offer four intakes per year. To find the nearest intake date, please refer to our Academic Calendar. For English courses, you can commence on any Monday throughout the year, except on public holidays.
  • I have already done some of these subjects at another college, or at work. Do I need to study there parts of the course again?
    No. You can apply for CT (Credit Transfer) or RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). Please see AAC's Course Credit and RPL Policy & Procedure on the Forms & Policies page.
  • How long will I study for?
    You can study English for as little as 2 weeks or as long as 60 weeks. We will assess your skill level (with an exam) on your first day and place you into a class according to your level. We will test you every month and promote you depending on your test results. Vocational Courses vary from 52 weeks up to 104 weeks.
  • How many hours per week will I study?
    Students are required to complete 20 hours of study per week, which for those enrolled in a VET Program, includes 16 hours of face-to-face learning and a 4-hour online session. Currently, our class schedule for face to face are two days (Monday and Tuesday) per week, normally from 8.30am to 5.00pm. And online sessions are two days (Wednesday and Thursday), 2 hours per day.
  • What are the attendance and progress requirements?
    Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 80% and demonstrate satisfactory progress in their courses to meet academic and institutional requirements. For international students, this is also necessary to comply with visa conditions.
  • Can I study part-time?
    You can only study part-time if you are a non student visa holder.
  • Can I study online?
    Our English programs are face-to-face only. But we do offer an online study option for our VET courses.
  • Can I defer, suspend or cancel my studies?
    Yes, students can request to defer, suspend, or cancel their enrolment under specific circumstances, such as compassionate or compelling reasons. International students should note that changes may impact their visa status.
  • Can I transfer to another course?
    Yes, students may apply to transfer to another course, subject to eligibility and approval. However, international students on a student visa must have completed at least six months of their principal course before transferring, in accordance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act.
  • Who are the teachers at AAC?
    The strength of the Academy is based on a team of teachers and trainers who have extensive experience in their fields. Our English teachers are all qualified professionals with many years of experience teaching international students. Our VET trainers are industry experts with extensive experience in their fields.
  • Do I need to buy textbooks for my course?
    Whilst students have the option to purchase books directly from bookstores to support their studies, AAC does not require students to purchase any materials, as all necessary resources are available in the student learner portal.
  • Are there any additional fees apart from tuition?
    Yes, in addition to tuition fees, students may need to pay other non-tuition fees, including application fee, enrolment cancellation fee, re-assessment fees or penalties for overdue tuition fees. Please refer to the Schedule of Course Fees. These fees are subject to change, and any updates will apply only to new enrolments unless otherwise stated in the Written Agreement.
  • What payment methods are available?
    Payment can be made via the following methods: Direct Deposit into our bank account. Telegraphic Transfer – Transfer of fees from Overseas bank account to our bank account.
  • Are there payment plans available?
    Yes, you can pay for English Courses by 12 weekly instalments. For VET Courses you can pay by 3 monthly instalments.
  • What is the refund policy if I cancel my course?
    If you cancel your course, you may be eligible for a refund depending on the timing of your cancellation. Additional Refund Considerations: The application fee is non-refundable. If your student visa is refused, a refund is provided, minus the lesser of 5% of course fees or $500 AUD. If AAC cancels the course (provider default), you will receive a full refund of any unused tuition fees or be placed in an alternative course. Refunds must be requested within six (6) months of the qualifying event, and funds are only returned to the original payer. To apply for a refund, you must complete the AAC Refund Application Form and submit it to Student Services. Refunds are processed within 28 days of approval.
  • Is there a cooling off period?
    Yes, AAC offers a 10-day cooling-off period from the time a student signs the Written Agreement and makes the initial payment. If a student withdraws within this period, they are eligible for a full refund of tuition fees, minus the non-refundable application fee.
  • What support services are available for students?
    We offer a range of student support services, including academic assistance, English language support, career advice, and counselling services.
  • What help is available to me if I am struggling with my studies?
    AAC provides a range of support services to help students succeed in their studies, including: Individual Study Plans – Tailored learning strategies to help you stay on track. At-Risk Mechanisms – Early identification and intervention for students who may be struggling. Course and Progression Monitoring – Regular assessments to ensure you meet academic requirements. Support Services – Access to academic support, tutoring, and student services for additional assistance. If you need help, AAC encourages you to reach out early for guidance and support.
  • Who can I speak to if I have personal or academic concerns?
    Students can seek support from student services staff, academic advisors, or trainers for guidance on academic, personal, or well-being concerns.
  • What visa conditions do I need to be aware of when studying?
    International students must maintain a full-time study load and attend a minimum of 20 contact hours per week. This also includes: Satisfactory attendance and progress: Students are required to maintain at least 80% attendance and meet course progress standards. Keep updated contact information: Students must notify AAC of any changes to their residential address, phone number, or email within seven days.
  • I am an offshore International student how can I apply to AAC?
    You can apply online via our website or through an authorised education agent. You’ll need to submit your application form, academic documents, English proficiency test results (if applicable), and a copy of your passport.
  • What visa do I need to study at AAC?
    If you are an international student, you will typically need a Student Visa (subclass 500).
  • Do I have to pay Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)?
    Yes, it is a condition of the Student Visa that you have acceptable health insurance cover during the whole time you are in Australia. The Academy can arrange Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for you or alternatively your agent can make arrangements on your behalf. For more info go to Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
  • How do I apply for a student visa?
    You will first need to complete the AAC online application form. If you application is successful, AAC will issue an offer letter which will outline your course and fees to be paid. You must then pay the fees indicated as well as the OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover). Upon receipt of payment, we will issue you with a COE (Confirmation of Enrolment) which you can then use to apply for a student visa. For more Visa information, go to: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/
  • Can I apply if I don’t meet the English language requirements?
    Yes! You can enrol in one of our ELICOS programs to improve your English before starting your VET course.
  • Do I need to do an IELTS exam to get into a VET program?
    To study VET programs you need an IELTS score of 5.5. You don’t need this exam if you have studied at the Academy and completed an English course to the required level, or if you supply us with an English certificate that you have received from a registered English College and you achieved Pre-Intermediate Level. Alternatively, students can take either an LLN test or an English Placement test.
  • Can I work while studying?
    Yes, student visa holders can work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods and full-time during scheduled course breaks.
  • Is there support for international students adjusting to life in Australia?
    Yes, AAC provides orientation programs, transition support, accommodation advice, and cultural adaptation resources to help international students settle into their studies and life in Australia.
  • Will I receive a student ID card?
    You will receive your student ID card during Orientation. You can use your student card for getting student discounts on entry to cinemas, theaters, museums, aquariums, art galleries etc.
  • Am I eligible for student concessions fares on buses, trains, and ferries etc.?
    Domestic students may be eligible for concession fares on buses, trains, and ferries, across the NSW Transport network. However, international student visa holders are generally not eligible for public transport concessions.
  • Is it possible to live on campus?
    Australian Academy of Commerce does not offer on-campus accommodation. However, we can assist you in finding other accommodation during your stay. Student House and Homestay accommodation is available.
  • Can I take holidays during my studies?
    All Vocational Courses (VET) have holidays included in their duration. Please see our Academic Calendar for exact dates. English Course students are permitted to request holidays only at the time of enrolment.
  • What should I do if I have a complaint or grievance?
    AAC has a Complaints and Appeals Policy in place. Students can submit complaints formally through student services, and all matters will be handled fairly and confidentially.
